AZL Pullmans was created by Mr.JA
Has anyone tried removing the lettering from any of the AZL Pullman releases? I want to try to change the lettering without re-painting the entire car.

I guy in Belgium did this with Marklin Eurofima coaches, and used a fiberglass pencil. I believe some touching was nevertheless required.

"... fiberglass pencil." I've never heard of such a thing. Any idea where I might find one?

fiber glass pencils are used in printed circuit board repairs to clean traces and arcing damage and by artists as an eraser on plastics, ceramics etc
just type fiberglass pencil into Google and you will find lots of choices

I use the fiber glass pencil all the time for PC board work. I'd avoid the pencils for this type of work: they're typically as abrasive as sandpaper. I don't know about the artist versions.

I've used a paste detail remover with a micro brush in the past with good (if slow results. I think this might work for the Pullman cars as you'd only have to mask one side once you pull the roof and you'd be able to brush into that direction.

We used to use fiberglass pencils to clean pick-ups on slot cars.
