Do you… know your LocoZ?

Some locomotives are weathered, custom painted, custom detailed, or they are just as you bought it. Either way here is your chance to display your profound knowledge of Z scale locomotives or learn more about some of the locomotives that are available in Z.

I collected 32 locomotive images from the ZCS galleries and forums, then placed them onto the banners. ZCS banners rotate every 6 hours displaying the next sequential banner. Sometimes a banner may seem 'stuck', you may need to refresh the ZCS page to clear your browser cache.

Z Central Station’s “Do you know your LocoZ” contest starts now and ends Friday midnight PST, August 16th, 2013. The entry with the most correctly guessed locomotives is the winner. In case of multiple winners a random drawing will determine the final winner. Mail your entry to “Know your LocoZ” at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. The winning entry prize is having two (2) pieces of your rolling stock weathered by Joseph Lavender. You can have two freight cars (sorry no locomotives) lightly weathered, moderately weathered, heavily weathered, or use a prototypical photo for personalized weathering.

The contest submissions have been received and no more entries are being accepted. I will not be working on the entries to see whom the winner is if by correct guesses. And in the case of multiple entries with the same amount of correct guesses, then I will randomly draw a winner from the pool.

Okay after much contest entry checking we have a winner! And since we had another entry that came in a close second, having two incorrect entries we will allow a second place winner! The second place prize will have one rollingstock weathered by Joe Lavender. Below is Steve's contest entry form.

In first place is Steve Van Til with one incorrect answer which was #21 Daniel - Casey Jones set. Steve gave the correct railroad livery but the wrong Marklin train set. Steve gets to have two of his rollingstock weathered by Joe Lavender.
