Can someone(s) recommend some freeware that I could use to play with designs?

Terribly sorry. Can't believe I wasn't more clear.

Track layout software for Z-scale.

I'll try that xtrkcad.

love 3d plan it,, great layering, easy to use, great price. or turbocad14 has a great layering effects, you can pick scales and marklin or mtl tracks. build bridges from scratch, buildings, everything n anything,,but unless you ve used a cad before, the manual is 178 pages long. i m used to all cads, i ve been using corel draw for 20 years now, as an artist, you have to have such toys. canada mike

Hello all,

My first post here as I continue to learn while planning a 2'x 4' layout. Does anyone know if RailModeller will have MT track included?

Thanks,
Pacha

It probably doesn't, but you can use the equivalent Marklin track pieces.

Not free but you can download and try a limited version for free, AnyRail from anyrail.com . I've used loads of different applications and, apart from one that is no longer available, this is the only one that I found intuitive and a pleasure to use.

Best wishes for a happy Chrismas,
Chris.

PS. They have very, very good support through their forum.
