The above link is to a new video clip from Rokuhan for a new track piece R036 straight 118.2 mm long for wooden tie based track and R038 straight 118.2 mm long for PC tie based track.
this straight is designed to be used with 110 mm or 13 degree turnout to create a 50mm space between track centers to provide an opening for a station island type platform delivery to start in January 2014. I expect we shall see some island platforms also in the new year.
