- I wasn't thinking about filling in the gaps but more about adding in the damage from all the cars that hit up against it :-)0
- Yes Brad,
I may end up filling in the groves and make another mold. Plaster would likely stain/paint up better than resin.
If the groves are eliminated then the resulting piece becomes that much easier to install.

Should have listened to Dave in my subconscious.0
- Could this also be made as plaster which might be more brittle for sure but also easier to modify with a bit of carving?0
- Dave,
I wasn't thinking very clearly at the late hour. I got in a mind set and overlooked the obvious. Is this why the president has many advisors?

The bumpers will be cast in resin so no need to cut a rail gap. Got that one right at least ;-)
Loren0
- I'm surprised you shaped it to fit over the rails. I'd have thought it would be easier to leave the bottom flat, and simply place it up against the end of the track. This would also avoid the problem of the cast metal causing a short in the track's power supply, or eliminating the need to cut a gap somewhere.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, I think it looks great!0
