fiberglass/polyester resin was created by Kelley
Anyone work with polyester/fiberglass sheets/ resin??? Could someone give me a quick and dirty how to? How much reinforcement do I need and how thin can I make a shell, and can I just keep adding onto it like say, paper mache?

It really depends on what the "shell" is going to be used for. Something like a kayak can be made from just a couple of layers (say roving/mat/roving), then using more in stress areas. A good starting point is located at www.ehow.com/how_6390935_make-fiberglass-canoe.html Of course this is for a canoe, but the basics could be used for almost anything. It's actually pretty easy (if not a bit messy) once you get the hang of it.

Thanks Joe.I want to make a BIG spider for Halloween, and was wondering about applications for Z scale too.
