Jeremy,
All I can say is "Go Jeremy, go" Built one similar about four years ago. Only I didn't make the mountain removable. Kind of hard to reach the track in the middle of the mountain. Matter of fact, I've NEVER cleaned that track portion.

Must be Murphy's law in reverse at work, because my loco usually stalls out in plain site where I can reach it. Only stalled twice inside the mountain as I recall......go figure.

Keep up the good work.......and what's this nonsense about taking the rest of your life?......come on, get with it.:cheer:

Been there, done that,
Loren

Those covered bridges are so nice. An old ten wheeler and a horse and buggy would make a beautiful scene with one!

Ah Kelley, what a great idea! Although they are somewhat difficult for us old geezers to put together (very tiny pieces!) I had made one of the brass buckboards from Micron Art (I think from them) for a client's diorama. It would have been cool for the photos I posted to have one in there. This one already has a bid on the auction site giving the truck with it but I have someone else asking for one and your idea is a great one. I may up doing just that!

Thanks,
Karin

Loren:

I have read a lot of posts and sites about having tunnels on a layout. Rule #1 seems to be to have access to the tunnel because of the problems with stalls, crashes in the tunnel.

Karin, I model the modern era around 2002. If you haven't guess it, I model CSX. My favotite schem is the gray, blue, and yellow, but I am warming up to the current dark blue, and mustard scheme.
