MTL couplers was created by ULie
Hello,

just a moment ago I searced for information about the MTL couplers on the MTL website. They don't show Z-scale couplers anymore. Or is it that I just can't find them? Can it be that they don't want to sell them anymore seperately? That would be bad, since one might need them as replacement when the original one is broken.

GreetingZ, HilZen,

Uwe

I checked just now also & like you could not find them. I tried to call them & just got voice mail, but it is 1505MST here - a little late. I'll try on Wednesday & see what they say. Maybe someone else has an answer.

Guys,
I'll sell you all the couplers you want or anything else from MTL.
All you gotta do is ask.

If my memory serves me well (and sometimes it doesn't) there was a thread on the "old" ZCS about MTL stopping the separate selling of couplers. Members expressed suitable outrage at this decision.

Actually, unless something changed, they stopped selling bulk packs that builders used. They would still have trucks available for those converting their Marklins or scratchbuilding their own cars. It just made it more expensive to buy and I think they put limits on the number that people could build.

Gary, You are correct. To the best of my knowledge MTL no longers sells their couplers to "rival" manufacturers. This does not affect the purchase of their products (couplers) from Loren or any other dealer. You and I are only affected if we want to purchase from the "rivals". We will probably get a car without MTL couplers. Hope I'm correct here. Cheers, Jim CCRR:unsure:

Hi All,

I can only recall that MTL stopped bulk packaging of trucks and couplers for other rolling stock suppliers.... If they realy stopped selling seperate couplers N scale is also affected, since these couplers are also disappeared from their website.
I prefered their previous easy to print PDF price list. Worsed case we have to by complete trucks from MTL.
