primed 250 ton Industrial Brownhoist crane
Image information
Description
250 ton Industrial Brownhoist crane with the engine rear access door more towards the rear on both sides for both engines. This version of crane upper is the more common version. What is seen here is lots of scraping, airbrush primed with Mr. Surfacer 1000 then sanding then more airbrush primed Mr. Surfacer 1000 then more sanding then finally the last airbrushed coat of Mr. surface 1000…. Boom still needs another go around of sanding and priming…. It will either become KCS #05 or a NS crane or another Conrail crane. Haven’t decided which one will be first.

- Walt, Its a Bucyrus Erie crane But of the garden variety... And a really good price considering what you get... www.thegalline.com/Page14250toncrane.html0
- That's big enough to rig with a motor and have a remote control to get the job done. I've got the back yard and a large pond just can't afford it right now! Great job! Jon

Walt0
- I learned if its an out of sight, out of mind, the less they know the better... But if its major renovations or even minor, its always better to get the proper permits first... If you don't, you risk getting a cease and desist order from the building inspector (wife) and you might even be required to remove such renovations at your expense, no matter how much of great idea you might think it is or time and materials you might have in it...0
- I got my wife a backyard- even built a nice brick edging around her garden (read great solid base to lay LGB track)- had it all planned- suruptitiously- I hate BIG words- then I left a piece of track on the bricks and she went balistic- even threatened to lead a boycott with other ladies. For marital harmony--Read- to save a life, mine- the outdoor train never got made.0
- I agree with derF... nice Brownhoist birdfeeder! ;-)0
- I'd love to build a garden railway Walt and Fred. And yes, this would be the first piece of rolling stock I'd fabricate.. But as you can see in the background, our backyard is a giant sand trap/ant farm with speckles of grass (to much shade and not enough topsoil)... When we get our own backyard I'll solicit the building inspector (my wife) to see if I can get the proper permits and permissions to build a garden railroad...0
- I think it is an LGB bird feeder ;-) Looks great!!0
- Now that's a great picture G scale Brownhoist crane0
